Hanover Fairground, Hanover, Germany

Hannover Messe, the world’s leading event for industrial technology, is on a mission to take Industrie 4.0 to the next level. As technology continues to innovate and revolutionize our lives, the focus this year shifts to integrated energy, smart supply, predictive maintenance, cobots, lightweight construction, and digital twins. To underline the increasing synergy between all sectors, CeMAT, the Intralogistic & Supply Chain Management event, takes place on the same grounds and over the exact same period.

The rising tide of connected devices that characterizes the IIoT exacerbates the need for new endpoint security solutions embedded by design and offered to customers by default. Follow all Wibu-Systems’ initiatives, as we raise awareness for the opportunity to achieve superior business and technology performance through stronger encryption, higher security sophistication, and more versatile go-to-market strategies.

  • The major meeting place is our booth C15 in hall 6, situated at the core of the Digital Factory area; our security experts are available to assist you along the integration journey of a modern, compact, and personalized security layer into all of your connected projects. One of the unique and remarkable aspects of CodeMeter is its ability to interface seamlessly with multiple operating systems, architectures, program languages, license containers, devices, and back office systems; the software and hardware based building blocks that CodeMeter consists of will allow you to create a fully personalized secure licensing system that will meet the diversified needs of a digitized global market.
  • Wibu-Systems is also one of the members at the IUNO exhibit (booth D02/1 in hall 6) along with Trumpf and Volkswagen. This year marks the closing of the German National Reference Project for IT Security in Industrie 4.0, and the partners are ready to show off the fruits of their work. A number of demonstrators will show practical examples of cross-domain trust in connected manufacturing, endpoint security by design, and license-based economy.
  • Oliver Winzenried, CEO and founder of Wibu-Systems, will be holding six separate lectures:
    • On April 23rd, 5.00 to 5.30 pm, at the Plattform Industrie 4.0 Forum, in hall 8, he will open his talk series by reporting the results from the research project IUNO – Technology data marketplace for manufacturing companies.
    • On April 24th, 12.00 to 12.30 pm, from the stage of the Industrial Security Forum - The Secure Path of the Digital Future event in Hall 6, he will examine “Security and Licensing in IoT Devices”, and, in particular, the use of secure Trusted Execution Environments (TEE), like the integration of Intel's SGX technology with CodeMeter.
    • On April 25th, 12.30 to 1.30 pm, once again at the Industrial Security Forum and with the support of VDMA, the German Engineering Federation, he will discuss how platform security is facing both technological and production data challenges and how IoT device can be secured via TEE, with a combination of Intel SGX, ARM Trustzone, and CodeMeter.
    • Still on the same day, April 25th, 2.00 to 2.30 pm, he will be at the Logistic Solutions Forum in Hall 21, booth C46, and join Oliver Puetz-Gerbig, Senior Product Manager, Business Unit Identification at Balluff, in discussing “Achievements of the IUNO project in the space of Identification and Traceability of Logistic Objects with a Secure RFID Reader platform and OPC UA”.
    • On April 26th, 10.00 to 10.30 am, he will be at the Forum Logistics 4.0 in Hall 19, booth D50, to speak about a “Technology Data Marketplace for Manufacturing Companies: Results from the IUNO project”.
    • Again on April 26th, 2.30 to 2.50 pm, he will be back at the Industrial Security Forum – The Secure Path of the Digital Future event, and delve into the “Security of Platforms for Production Data and Technology Data”, an analysis of the results of IUNO, the national reference project for cybersecurity in Industrie 4.0 promoted by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.

All of the above presentations will shed more light on the results attained by the working groups of IUNO, the standardization and interdisciplinary accomplishments achieved, and the guidelines that are resulting from these efforts for small and medium size enterprises to embark on their own Industrie 4.0 venture.
