When collecting a license in CodeMeter License Central the message "An error occurred while loading a plugin." is displayed. Why is that?

Share:

Due to a change to the Java Runtime version, an error message appears when loading the Wibu Java-Plugin (WibuCmTrigger). This can be prevented by replacing the Wibu Java-Plugins with an updated WibuCmTrigger in the VM.

Please download the updated WibuCmTrigger from our website at "Support & Downloads | Developer | CodeMeter License Central | Updates License Central".

Next, upload the file to the CodeMeter License Central.
In order to upload the file WibuCmTrigger.jar to the CodeMeter License Central, please proceed as follows:

  1. Login to Webmin.
  2. Find the item "Other | Upload and Download" on the left.
  3. Activate the tab "Upload to Server" on the right.
  4. Select the file WibuCmTrigger.jar in the field "Files to upload".
  5. Specify the target directory /var/www/LicenseCentral/public/plugin in the field "File or directory to upload to".
  6. Click the "Upload" button to start the upload.

The WibuCmTrigger.jar also needs to be replaced for WebDepot (when running the Internet Edition).

We recommend to update CodeMeter License Central to the current version 2.01 or newer. CodeMeter License Central 2.01 is using WebSocket technology because of recurring problems with Java. Using WebSockets allows the activation of licenses without Java or ActiveX in current browser versions. To use WebSockets with CodeMeter, users have to install CodeMeter 5.10a or newer.
