Medica, the world’s leading medical technology expo, is a mega-event in many ways. Every edition of the trade fair draws more than a hundred thousand professional attendees to Düsseldorf, where thousands of exhibitors are waiting for them with news and developments in the healthcare industry in its many facets, from laboratory equipment or pharmaceuticals to highly innovative fields like electro-medicine. IT and communication technology are playing an increasingly key role at Medica, as it does in the medical sector writ large.
As an important technology partner for many leading medical technology businesses, Wibu-Systems will again be on site with a high-profile team. Instead of a separate booth, some of our own top minds and friends from our industry will be speaking at the Tech Forum, on 14 November, 1.30 to 3.00 pm (Hall 9, Stand 09D05): Steffen Zimmermann of the VDMA association will be introducing the new product piracy study, Dr. Heidenreich, Director Health IT Standards at Siemens Healthineers, will be taking a look at the important question of regulation and standards, followed by our CEO, Oliver Winzenried’s ideas about software SBOM, digital product passes, and licensing. Finally, Dr. Carmen Kempka, Director Corporate Technology at Wibu-Systems, will address one of the most pressing issues for the smarter, AI-driven medical field of tomorrow, a topic that she counts among her personal research interests: The protection of machine learning and artificial intelligences in the extremely security-conscious medical field.
