The CodeMeter service terminates unplanned and I have installed the virus protection software "F-Secure", what can I do?

This behavior occurs because F-Secure blocks the CodeMeter service (codemeter.exe
) on scanning the system even if it is known to be safe. This happens because F-Secure assumes CodeMeter trying to perform system changes that might be potentially harmful.
We have already contacted the vendor of F-Secure to achieve a permanent and general solution for this problem.
Until then, however, you must manually exclude the CodeMeter service (codemeter.exe
) from the scan. Please proceed as follows and note that you require administrator privileges:
- Open F-Secure "Computer Security".
- Click "Settings" on main page "Computer Security".
- Select "Computer Security | Virus and spyware scanning".
- Click the " Exclude files from the scan" link.
- The "Exclude from scanning" dialog displays.
- Select the "Objects" tab.
- Select the "Exclude objects (files, folders…)" checkbox.
- Click "Add".
- Select the folder "
C:\Program Files (86)\CodeMeter\Runtime\bin
“. - Click "OK" to close the "Exclude from scanning" dialog.
Now the CodeMeter service is excluded from the F-Secure system scan.
