On installing WibuKey in December 2014 the error 211, 212, 1117 or 1122 is returned. What can I do?
Our current state of knowledge tells us that the reason for these errors seems to be the recent available Microsoft Update KB3004394. Affected are operating systems Windows 7 and higher. For more details on this Update see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/3004394.
Please follow these steps to see whether Windows Update KB3004394 has been installed on your computer:
Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button. In the search box, type Update, and then, in the list of results, click Windows Update.
In the left pane, click View update history.
Our installation tests of the most current WibuKey Software Version 6.30 worked, if Update KB3004394 was removed before starting the installation. Therefore, please remove the Update. Follow the steps for removing Microsoft Updates as described at http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/remove-update.
In the meantime Microsoft has revoked this Update due to the problems it has caused.
