When collecting a license in CodeMeter License Central 1.52a or older via Internet Explorer, the error message "An error occurred while loading a plugin." is displayed. What can i do?

This behavior occurs when activating licenses with CodeMeter License Central 1.52a or older, and Internet Explorer 11, if Intranet sites are not displayed in Compatibility View.
You can use the following workaround:

Open the menu item "Tools | Compatibility View Settings" in Internet Explorer, and proceed as follows:

  • Activate the option "Display Intranet sites in Compatibility View".
  • Restart Internet Explorer.
