The Industrial Internet Consortium’s (IIC) vision is to deliver a trustworthy Industrial IoT (IIoT) in which the world’s systems and devices are securely connected and controlled to deliver transformational outcomes. The organization develops industry guidance based upon the real-world experiences of their members securing complex systems across all industries.

During the meetings, experts will offer security guidance for industries including aerospace, transportation, logistics, manufacturing, energy & utilities and municipalities and present the importance of trustworthiness and assurance, how to measure, analyze and assess it, as well as how to manage and govern it.

Panel Discussion, 10:30 a.m.

Marcellus Buchheit, President and CEO of Wibu-Systems USA, will participate in a panel discussion: Trustworthiness in Industrial IoT. Marcellus will be joined on the panel by Fernando Garcia, Senior Software Engineer at Real-Time Innovations (RTI), and Paul Myer, CEO of Veracity Industrial Networks. The panelists will lead a discussion on the fine points of Trustworthiness, defined for the Industrial IoT as the degree of confidence one has that the system performs as expected, and review the five trustworthiness characteristics of safety, security, privacy, reliability and resilience in the face of environmental disturbances, human errors, systems faults and attacks.
