Situation in Japan

The catastrophes that have befallen Japan since the 11th of March have not only changed life there. They have shaken the world. Shigeji Kobayashi, Managing Director of Suncarla Corp, our Japanese distributor, and his team of employees are also affected, although fortunately not directly. "We are very relieved about that," says Oliver Winzenried, CEO of WIBU-SYSTEMS AG, Germany. "There is deep concern and compassion for the people in Japan within our company all over the world. Our deep sympathy is with the victims and their families! We are in constant contact with our distributor in Tokyo and we are trying to do everything in our power to support them. We admire the calmness of the Japanese people and are confident that the rebuilding of the infrastructure will be accomplished quickly."

Manuela Koegel, head of purchasing, production and QA at Wibu-Systems does not currently envisage any effects on Wibu's ability to deliver due to sufficient components stock: "However, the checking of the delivery chains of Japanese suppliers is still ongoing, so that we can identify and replace possible critical components in good time."

The company and many Wibu-Systems employees want to make a contribution to the reconstruction of the areas destroyed by the earthquake and tsunami with their donations to the Red Cross in Japan.
